About me

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master of Social Work from Fordham University who takes a person-centered and compassionate approach to care. I create a collaborative space where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered. My work integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), Motivational Interviewing, and Positive Psychology to support clients in building resilience and creating meaningful change.

I have experience working with diverse populations, including college students, adults facing physical and mental health issues, and older adults managing chronic health conditions. I commonly support individuals navigating anxiety, depression, life transitions, and related challenges.

In addition to my clinical training, I hold a Master of Public Health (MPH) and actively advocate for equitable access to healthcare and mental health services across different settings. I believe in meeting clients where they are and working together to support their well-being and goals.

The name Sociorican merges my passion for social work, social justice advocacy, and my Puerto Rican identity. It is rooted in culture, equity, and community values.
